Introduction:
Participants will be assigned to be a kind of animal but he/she will not know what is it. He/she can only ask questions according to the information provided by our staffs to find out what he/she is.
Objectives:
- To understand the preferences on food/ habitat and adaptation features of animals
- To introduce different animals species and their special features to participants
- To motivate participants’ interest in different animals

Introduction:

KNOWING WILD ANIMAL(I) – Making a Bird from recyclables (Code: WSB02)
Introduction:
Participants will be provided a simple “lecture” about birds and participants will have a chance to make their own birds by using recyclables.
Objectives:
- To learn how to make a toy bird from recyclables
- To understand features of different birds

Participants will have a chance to produce a piece of recycling paper themselves. They will also learn the relationship between paper and ourselves.

- To promote the importance of forests
- To introduce the relationship between forests and ourselves

GLASS REUSE AND RECYCLE (CODE: WSB07)
Introduction:
Our staff will introduce the present methods and challenges of glass wastes treatment in Hong Kong. Related campaigns and policies will also be introduced. Participants will decorate their own glass wastes and make them become useful again.
Objectives:
- To learn about how the glass wastes are treated in Hong Kong
- To enhance participants’ creativity and their sense of environmental protection and recycling

MAKING A CARTON WALLET (CODE: WSB08)
Introduction:
Through a presentation on the environmental impacts and current treatment of wasted beverage cartons, the workshop aims to enhance participants’ environmental protection consciousness on daily consumption. Participants can turn a wasted carton into a useful small wallet. This workshop allows everyone to have some fun out of reducing waste generation and serves as interactive parenting activity.
Objectives:
- To learn about current treatment of wasted beverage cartons
- To enhance participants’ sense of environmental protection and make use of recyclables

Festive Workshop (CODE: WSB09)
Introduction:
This handicraft workshop introduces creative and environmental-friendly ways to celebrate festivals. An educational briefing is included in the workshop to highlight Hong Kong people’s wastage during festivals and its impacts to the environment. Themes will be changed according to festivals. The current theme is “Mother’s and Father’s Days” where you could use unwanted cereal boxes to make leaf imprinted mail boxes or organizers for your parents! It is a practical and environmentally-friendly gift!
Objectives:
- To raise participant’s awareness to waste generation during festivals
- To enhance participants’ sense of environmental protection and make use of recyclables
Target Group: Age 4 or above Duration: around 2 hours (including briefing)
Materials: Please prepare 1 old cereal box for each participant (For outreach service: Please also prepare dry leaves)
