To acknowledge the financial support from the Hongkong Bank Foundation, all publications being published within the first three years of the Porject implementation and thereafter involving data and resources from the two plots should include the acknowledgment statement – "The forest dynamic plot(s) where this study was based was/were set up with funding support from The Hongkong Bank Foundation".

Both the Kadoorie Institute of The University of Hong Kong and the Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden maintain the ownership of research data generated from the establishment of the two plots. Release of such data to any third parties will require approval from both organisations.

Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department has approved the research site at the Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve.
