Project Officer
B.Sc (Environmental Life Science),
The University of Hong Kong

My appreciation in nature begins when I started hiking and camping in my secondary school years. I enjoy being in the wild and hope the natural environment of Hong Kong can be sustained. And because of this determination, I studied Environmental Life Science in university and hoped to work in relevant field as my future career.
Upon completion of my study in 2007, I worked in an environmental consultancy, focusing on noise impact assessment projects. I joined the Institute in 2008 and my major tasks include designing routes for the guided tours of Lung Fu Shan Environmental Education Centre (LFSEEC), and organizing outreach programmes on environmental protection and conservation issues to schools and NGOs. Being a Project Officer in LFSEEC has trained me into an all-round person as I have gained knowledge and experiences in both environmental aspects and communication skills.

Since 2008 I have been a qualified Hiking Instructor of the Hong Kong Award for Young People. Through different expeditions, I have chances to educate my students not only in navigation and map reading skills, but also the concept of appreciating the nature. I hope my effort can arouse students’ awareness in environmental protection and conservation.
